Saturday, April 2 - Confidence and Security
Loving Our Truth (Ma'at) Saturdays
Loving Our Truth -
Simply means understanding and knowing who you are and then embracing it to the fullest.
There is a fine line between confidence and ego; and many confuse the two. Confidence is knowing that you are at your best; ego is wanting, needing or requiring assurance from others that you are at your best.
Confidence is powerful, effectual and beautiful when worn by the one who can handle it. Knowing who you are and what are capable of is an uplifting and elevating feeling.
There is also a disconnect between confidence and humility. Some feel that one cannot be both humble and confident. The two are opposite sides of the same coin. Confidence in yourself creates humility when others willfully acknowledge your skills and talents. Confidence means you are proud of yourself and humility comes when others show that they are proud of you as well.
One must have confidence and security to achieve any substantial goals in life. If you don't believe in yourself, you should never expect anyone else to do so either.
You achieve because you believe, you do it because you wanted to get it done, and you gain it because you pursued it. Be confident in who you are and what you want...that is the only way to receive it.
